itinerary:
On today’s tour, we begin our adventure towards the Sahara Desert, traveling through the impressive mountains of the Middle Atlas. Our journey will include a stop in the beautiful town of Ifrane, often referred to as the « Switzerland of Morocco, » as well as a visit to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary apes.
We will then continue our journey to the Merzouga Desert, passing through the stunning Ziz Valley, where you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking views and landscapes.
Upon arriving in the Merzouga Desert, you’ll embark on a camel trek to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will camp for the night. You’ll enjoy dinner, listen to traditional Berber music, and marvel at the endless stars in the night sky.
After breakfast and a shower at the Berber camp, we will drive through the city of Errachidia and the Ziz Valley, renowned for its date palms. Following this, we will cross the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, which separate the Sahara Desert from the interior regions of the country.
We will then arrive in Fes, the oldest capital of Morocco, where we will spend the night.
